Introduction
In journeying through our courses, certain questions commonly arise for some participants. This page lists some of these questions and provides possible answers. If you encounter a question that is not mentioned here, or if you feel you need more help than what is provided, please click on the "New message" link in the left column box and write a message which a course guide will personally answer.
There are no right or wrong answers for most of the questions below. We strive to respect the diversity of beliefs of all people and offer these as simply opinions without any attachment. We honor and respect any differences of opinion you might have.
A link in a lesson does not work
There are many reasons a link might not work for you that have nothing to do with the viability of the link. The server for the website of the link may be temporarily down. In this case, the link is good, but will not function until the server is back up. This is fairly rare. Bugs or glitches in your computer may be causing the link to fail. Try the link a couple times and use the refresh button. If it still does not work, try shutting down your computer and then restart. Often this resolves the problem. If you continue to have problems, please contact us by sending a message at the "New message" link.
Blame, judgment, and responsibility
This question relates the course lesson on personal responsibility. It is not uncommon to feel justified in blaming and judging those who are manipulating the public or those who are causing terrorism and torture around the world. How can we not hold these people responsible for their acts?
These are legitimate concerns which are not to be taken lightly. We don't at all require anyone to let go of all blame and judgment to continue with the course. That said, we do want to invite you to consider that your life might be richer and fuller if you are willing to consider transforming blame and judgment into acceptance and eventually love.
On the question of responsibility, we believe it is important that we hold people responsible for their actions, and that we do our best to stop any violence or other clearly disempowering behaviors. This is an important part of being a new paradigm community. Yet when we judge someone to be bad as a person because of their behavior, we do not encourage the person judged to change.
Our judgment often only serves to make us feel righteous and better than those we judge, and to create distance and separation between us. It's important to differentiate here between a person's behavior and their soul or divine essence, which always deserves our love and support. We can work to firmly stop a person's destructive behavior while still sending love and support to their divine essence. Though this may not be easy to do at first, if we hold this intention, it can become easier with time and experience.
To blame is qualitatively different than to hold responsible. Yes, let's hold people responsible for their actions, yet let's do our best to avoid blaming and labeling people as bad for their actions. Think of how we would treat children who do something wrong. If a child is doing something hurtful or destructive, we take decisive action to stop this behavior, yet hopefully we also do our best to support and love the child's essence, so that they will not continue the harmful behavior. There are no clear right and wrong answers here, but these are important things to consider.
How Can I Love Those Who Terrorize?
This question relates to lesson on sacred love. In opening to breathing sacred love with all people, some have experienced difficulty when a person with very strong negative energy came into their thoughts. One woman had Hitler come into her thoughts and was quite shaken and frightened.
Some taking the course may ask how they can love a person like Hitler or someone who severely abused or terrorized them. Others may be very well informed of the major cover-ups happening in the world. Some of these will ask how we can love the power elite who are misusing their power to sexually abuse, assassinate, and otherwise terrorize people around the world. These are certainly valid and important questions.
We fully understand that not everyone is ready to breathe love with all people. If you feel that it is best for you not to share love with a certain individual or group, then there is certainly no need to do so. You can simply open to breathing sacred love with all with whom you do feel comfortable, so that you can feel the love and strengthen your connection with the Web of Love surrounding the planet.
One day, after working with the Web of Love for an extended period of time, you may find you can separate out the personality and behavior of those who cause harm from their divine essence. This can facilitate the ability to feel love for the divine essence that is at the core of literally everyone, but for now there is no need to push beyond where you are comfortable.
As you explore breathing sacred love, we invite you to consider the difference between the divine essence that we know exists in every living being and the actions or behavior taken by an individual. When a person's actions are clearly destructive or disempowering in some way, we want to do all we can to stop the behavior, yet we can still send love to the divine essence that is beneath what may appear to be an "evil" or destructive persona or ego.
If we treat a person as evil, we only reinforce the us vs. them paradigm and set ourselves up to be a victim. In short, stop the destructive behavior, yet love and support the divine essence within.
Do we create our own disease?
We do not believe that each of us consciously creates everything that happens to us. We particularly feel that it is unfortunate that some who believe we create everything tell those who have cancer, for instance, that they created their own cancer. We strongly encourage people not to blame or judge anyone for anything, especially for any disease they might have.
Life is a deep mystery. We don't claim to know how or why many difficult things happen in life. We welcome discussion of this, but do not believe that there is any "Truth." We respect whatever beliefs you may hold about these matters.
Some course participants believe that on the expanded metaphysical levels what creates our reality is deep, unconscious processes which somehow work in combination with our individual and collective consciousness. Yet it can be very difficult, if not impossible, to understand some of the unconscious processes involved.
Even though many involved with our courses believe that we are all involved consciously and/or unconsciously in co-creating everything that happens, as to the question of why we have co-created disease, violence, and torture, there is no clear consensus among us. Most of us do believe there is a greater purpose, but that this purpose may be part of the great mystery of life, which we will only comprehend when we reach more expanded states of being.
What about the "evil" rulers of the world?
Some course participants are very well informed of the major cover-ups happening in the world. A few follow one of the most prominent conspiracy theorists – David Icke. Though Mr. Icke is a good man who clearly promotes spreading love and not fear, he also believes that many of our world's leaders are actually half-breeds of humans and reptilian ETs. He further states that these leaders must drink freshly killed baby blood in order to maintain their human form.
This is the extreme of conspiracy beliefs, but if you do have beliefs along the lines of Mr. Icke, you might ask how we can ever forgive those who want to imprison our planet and who participate in satanic cults where they sexually abuse and kill children.
These are valid and important questions. Though most who have completed one of our courses find those who follow David Icke (and others like him) to be operating under a lot of fear, they also agree with him that love is the answer. Consider that fear can be a powerful teacher. By learning to dance with our fears and possibly even breathe love into these fears, we can experience some powerful shifts in our lives.
Remember it is important to differentiate between the divine essence that we know exists in every living being and the actions or behavior taken by an individual. When a person's actions are clearly destructive, we want to do all we can to stop the behavior, yet we can still open to and connect with the divine essence that is beneath what may appear to be an "evil" persona or ego. If we treat a person or group as evil, we only reinforce the us vs. them paradigm and set ourselves up to be a victim. In short, stop the destructive behavior, yet open to connection with the divine essence within.
